Private Living Chalet Chic

More precisely: Private Chalet Living!

GoingHOME is a mountain home, no doubt about it. Surrounded by imposing Tyrolean mountains, it blends into the surroundings with its distinctly Alpine design language and somewhat continues the existing stories. The roof shape and wooden balconies echo design elements we know from old farmhouses. This is how harmony with the surroundings is achieved.

There were two challenges for the interior design of this private residential project: Firstly, it had to fulfil the promise made by the exterior of the building. Secondly, the chalet style had to be dusted off, ventilated and taken into the modern age.

How was this done? The carefully balanced mix of materials was the first step. Lots of wood on floors, walls, and ceilings — although in a subtle grey colour and beautifully polished. As a result, it is less dominant than the wooden panelling we saw just a few years ago. Our designers have combined the wood with quite a few white surfaces, thus giving the interior a modern lightness.

When it comes to fabrics, they went one step further: The range includes everything from more traditional fabrics with a nice feel to modern velour fabrics — often in clear colours such as yellow or blue. Furniture, fabrics, and walls skilfully combine an overall neutral design with occasional subtle accents and sometimes bold splashes of colour.

The design language is consistently clear and straightforward and definitely creates a modern feel in the chalet. Just like the predominantly modern kitchen with contemporary materials, appliances, and functionalities.

Stylish accessories, such as beautiful bedspreads, cushions, lamps and much more, add to the sense of style. Altogether, the staging of the interior creates a feeling of warmth, cosiness, and freshness at the same time. Rarely do images look so inviting. Just come and start living, that's what they tell us.
