ILF Consulting Engineers

Rum/Innsbruck

Walking up to the ILF Consulting Engineers building, you will notice: Things are different here from what you are used to. Built in a circular layout around an inner courtyard, most of the offices have a fantastic view of the Inn Valley, the Glungezer and the Patscherkofel.

Josef Mayr, Managing Director and project manager responsible for the interior design project, takes us on a tour of the newly designed areas.

How did the project come about, Mr Mayr?

We were well aware that our team needed new recreational areas inside our building. In addition, we also wanted to improve our reception area. This is the first spot to showcase our commitment to high quality. For the project, we collaborated with engineer Georg Hueber. He recommended home INTERIOR and we are delighted with the service and expertise you provide.

The ambience in your reception area resembles a hotel, the staff area looks like a café.

Exactly! That's what we were aiming for. We had in mind some design ideas, and together with your expertise in the hospitality sector, this lounge area was born. We also wanted to create attractive spaces for our team and thus show how much we value them. Breaks are important, and ensuring smooth team interaction is invaluable.

Which part do you like best?

During the entire project, I was able to fully live my affinity for interior design. The overall concept is coherent. The blue pillars in our reception area are a detail that I particularly like.
