Hotel Goldener Berg

Lech am Arlberg

Boho lifestyle meets alpine tradition. — That's how the website sums it up. All said? Well, there is a little more to say about the Hotel Goldener Berg and especially about our subject: interior design. We visited Daniela Pfefferkorn after the project was completed, spoke with her about the new suites – and fell in love with the unique ambience.

We are looking forward to colour, colour, colour! Daniela Pfefferkorn takes us to one of the new Boho Suites along with her little dog. She shows us what happens when a bohemian lifestyle meets alpine traditions.

3 words describing the Hotel Goldener Berg?

“We are colourful, we are cheerful, we are cosmopolitan. That goes for our team, our guests, the ambience in the house. And that's what comes first before unusual things can to happen.”

For the guests, this conveys the message: this is where you can be who you are. Surrounded by the bounty of the alpine environment, guests are able to discover their inner world and thus relax deeply.

So what is the role of nature, which so impressively surrounds the “Goldener Berg”?

“Our interior design invites nature into the house, just as varied and cheerful as it unfolds all around us. We play with the colours of a summer meadow, with its textures and structures.

A process which combines patterns and colours freely and yet with an immaculate sense of style, creating new sensory experiences: pink, green, violet, natural – in the form of flowers, embroidered, printed, stylised, graphically edited, and then the same colours appear as fine stripes or as plain fabrics, but maybe in a faux fur look.

The colours don't stay where they are supposed to, but move freely up the walls: either as regular wall colour or as an upholstered wall panel.

Ms Pfefferkorn, how would you describe your collaboration with home INTERIOR?

“We have been working together for many years. Monika Kruselburger knows us and always prepares mood boards that we like straight away. We are currently planning a new spa area, and I am looking forward to working with her again.”
