LIVING IN A HOTEL # 03

NATURHOTEL FORSTHOFGUT: INTERIOR DESIGN IN THE RIDING STABLE

“Living in a hotel” is the name of our column in which we present particularly well-designed hotels and guest houses. Freedom and functionality, fantasy and joy – the demands on interior design in hotels are many and varied. A challenge that makes our design team at home INTERIOR light up.

This time we had the pleasure of staying at the Naturhotel Forsthofgut, a long-standing customer. This collaboration is inspiring and brings great joy to everyone in our company. A report on the new project at Forsthofgut.

INTERIOR DESIGN IN THE SPA ...AND IN THE RIDING STABLE

A farm is the heart and origin of the Naturhotel Forsthofgut in Leogang. Nature and its powerful presence permeate every detail in the house. Between inspiring dialogues, harmonious togetherness and bold accents, the interior design also makes itself felt. Like few other hotels, the Forsthofgut places value on atmosphere and uniqueness in its spa, among other things.

For Christina Schmuck, it was logical to let interior design work its wonders in the riding stable too. "When the cars from home INTERIOR pull up, I know: the place is going to get that little bit more beautiful today”, says the hotel manager.

TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK

A team from W2 Manufaktur in Leogang planned and designed the new building. The task: a riding stable complete with ancillary rooms and lounge area. While engineer Alexander Hofmann dedicated himself to the sporting task of organising the project in just a few months, interior designer Daniela Haller designed the riders' lounge. From the very beginning it was clear that the expertise of home INTERIOR would once again be called upon for the implementation.

Country Club in Leogang. The inspiration for the Reiterlounge was the atmosphere of a British country club. The colour concept focuses on traditional harmony, gentle transitions and natural colour worlds. Accent colours, such as the azure blue of some armchairs, demonstrate a special sense of style. The strong orange tone creates a warm ambience in which to kick back and reminisce over the most recent riding experience.

Leading role for wallpapers. British taste often combines different worlds of patterns. The Reiterlounge at Forsthofgut joins this tradition: wallpapers, for example with generous tartans or organic and floral elements, are real eye-catchers.
