VITALHOTEL EDELWEISS****S

Neustift in the Stubai valley

Off-white, cream, beige, and grey — this is how the hotel Edelweiss welcomes guests in the newly designed rooms and suites. A harmony of neutral colours inspired by the protected alpine flower that gives the hotel its name. Accented with a touch of gold (just like the sun glistening on mountain peaks). And of course surrounded by lots and lots of wood. The colour concept is carefully designed and applied throughout.

Those who concentrate on a few, lightly graded colours have more freedom with the textures. Hardly anything here is simple and smooth; instead, an exciting mix is created using different textures of textiles and other materials. Wood is always a tactile material, and its natural colouring is always warm and cosy.

There are few references to the Alpine design treasure, but they are always restrained and classy, nothing here is yodelling or kitschy. The shapes are straightforward — except for the wooden chair with the heart motif, a reminder of old farmhouse furniture. The luminaires are an eye-catching extra with their at times ultra-modern designs.
