A little slice of paradise full of favourite spots – this is what the Mühlbauer family had in mind with their hotel in the Bavarian forest. And they have successfully managed to create a down-to-earth yet contemporary ambience.
The new suites are the cherry on top of this delightful venue. An extension has been added and the roof rotated so that it now tapers to a high, sharp angle. This is simultaneously a traditional style of roof in the region and also a clear contemporary line.
The high roof is airy and creates expansiveness. At the same time, a hotel room should receive guests with a sense of warmth and cosiness. Architect Stefan Ghetta developed the corresponding ideas and material concepts, while we took care of the implementation.
At the end of the project, we visited the Bayerwaldhof and had a chat with host Thomas Mühlbauer. Read the interview in our blog.
